Mowing

When mowing make sure to only remove 1/3 of the blade of grass. Removing too much of the blade can cause scalping, which can cause the grass to become unhealthy and more susceptible to pests and disease. Make sure to keep your St. Augustine and Bahia grass at an average height of 4 inches.

Watering

Proper irrigation is important in the process of keeping a lawn healthy. Make sure to check your irrigation system regularly and be sure that all zones and heads are working properly.
